Rachel’s work often features flowers, plants, fruit, animals, and patterns. She draws inspiration from textiles, fashion, nature and her day to day life. Her love of patterns led her to OCAD’s Material Art and Design Fibre Program where she received her BDes.
Outside of her art practice, Rachel enjoys sharing her passion for creativity with others through teaching and mentoring. She has taught art to children in schools through Thrive Youth and to adults all over the world with Original Genes and has been a guest speaker at Conestoga College. Rachel’s work has been featured in OCADU's Project 31 Auction, House and Home Canada, Toronto Home, and Collections Magazine and more
