About
Rachel Babineau, is a Toronto based artist and designer. Her expressive artworks vary in size and medium and include acrylic paintings, prints, murals and most recently sculpture. This wide range of mediums inspires Rachel to develop new techniques, mix mediums, and to think beyond the canvas.
Rachel’s work often features flowers, plants, fruit, animals, and patterns. She draws inspiration from textiles, fashion, nature and her day to day life. Her love of patterns led her to OCAD’s Material Art and Design Fibre Program where she received her BDes.
Outside of her art practice, Rachel enjoys sharing her passion for creativity with others through teaching and mentoring. She has taught art to children in schools through Thrive Youth and to adults all over the world with Original Genes and has been a guest speaker at Conestoga College.
